Healthcare Service in Ljubljana: A Strong Community
At the heart of our organization are the dedicated nurses, midwives, and health technicians who make up our membership. We provide a supportive community for these healthcare professionals, ensuring they have access to the resources and networks necessary for their professional development. In doing so, we actively engage with the evolving healthcare landscape and societal needs.
Education and Research for Nurses
One of our key priorities is to enhance the knowledge and skills of our members. To achieve this, we organize, coordinate, and support professional education, forging connections with reputable institutions and individuals in the healthcare field. By doing so, we empower our members with the latest advancements and knowledge, ultimately improving patient care and outcomes.
Promoting Healthy Lifestyles for Nurses
Nurses, midwives, and health technicians are not just committed to the well-being of their patients but also to their own health. Our organization promotes a healthy lifestyle, contributing to the prevention of illnesses and the preservation of well-being. We believe that by encouraging healthy choices among our members and the broader community, we not only enhance the quality of life but also promote efficient and safe nursing and midwifery care.
A Structured Approach to Excellence
Our organization operates with a clear and structured approach. Activities within various divisions are meticulously organized through regular meetings of the Executive Committee, composed of six dedicated members. They work together to create professional programs and foster social interactions that benefit our members and the community at large.
Leadership That Cares
The strength of any organization lies in its leadership, and we are proud to have a committed team leading the way. Đurđa Sima, the President, is at the helm, steering the organization in the right direction. Our Vice-president Gordana Lokajner oversees education, research, and publishing. Peter Požun, another Vice-president, takes charge of administrative tasks, financial and legal matters, and the coordination of interest activities. Nada Sirnik, our final Vice-president, focuses on complementary and natural medicine in nursing and midwifery care.
In conclusion, the Nurse and Midwifery Organisation of Ljubljana is more than just a professional association; it's a community of nurses, midwives, and health technicians committed to excellence. With over 4,800 members and a strong focus on education, health promotion, and structured leadership, our organization plays a vital role in enhancing healthcare and the lives of those we touch.
