History

Highlands School Barcelona was established in 2000 with the vision of providing a unique and innovative educational experience. In the cosmopolitan city of Barcelona, we aimed to offer a high level of English education with a Catholic foundation. Over the years, we've gained recognition in Catalan society for our quality services while staying true to our origins. Today, we're undergoing exciting changes, expanding our international footprint and embracing a distinctive educational project within the city.

Canteen Program

Our commitment to integral education extends to our canteen program. We understand the importance of nourishing both the body and mind. Our canteen service, managed by ARAMARK, is known for its excellence and offers a monthly menu that includes information on protein, carbohydrate, lipid intake, and calorie values. We emphasize cultivating good habits in children during lunchtime, using positive motivation campaigns.

Our menu includes three adaptations for those with allergies or intolerances, ensuring that all students are well-nourished. The Educamos platform allows parents to access the monthly menus, keeping them informed about their child's meals.

To promote a complete education, we've introduced a program focusing on proper dining etiquette. Students learn essential rules of etiquette, including sitting properly at the table, mouth care, correct use of cutlery, use of napkins, eating everything, and more. From Primary 1 onwards, students participate in the MESA RESTAURANTE program, which teaches them correct table manners, from setting the table to serving food.
