1. Pre-Ride Checklist: It's crucial to inspect the Carvelo for any damage before you begin your ride. Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged and make any necessary adjustments to the bike, such as adjusting the saddle and handlebar to your preferred settings. If you're transporting children, secure them with the provided 5-point safety belts and ensure they wear appropriately sized helmets.

 

2. Key Management: Always remember to remove the key from the lock once the bike lock is open. In some cases, the key may remain in the lock after opening, so never force it. If you encounter any difficulties or have concerns about the key, feel free to reach out to us. Please note that losing or breaking the key will incur a CHF 30 charge.

 

Transporting Children: Carvelo's standard models, the "Transporter 65" and "Packster 60," offer the capacity to transport up to two children. We recommend transporting children from the age of 18 months or when they can sit independently. Keep in mind that there are no baby seats or rain covers available. Additionally, it's essential to adjust the 5-point safety belts according to your child's size and ensure they wear appropriately sized helmets.

Equipment Provided: When you pick up your Carvelo at the host station or Carvelobox, you will receive the key, battery, and a seat cushion for kids (if applicable). If needed, a battery charger can also be provided. However, for additional accessories like rain covers for children or bicycle helmets, users are responsible for providing them. Please be aware that carvelo assumes no liability in the event of accidents (refer to the GTC for more details).

 

Should you encounter any unexpected situations during your Carvelo adventure, we have you covered:

Unavailable Carvelo: If the booked Carvelo is not on site or unavailable, simply book another Carvelo in your area. Let us know which Carvelo you initially booked, and we will cancel your first booking free of charge.

Closed Location: In the event that the location of the booked Carvelo is closed, follow the same process: book an available Carvelo in your vicinity, inform us about the closed host, and indicate which Carvelo you switched to. We will contact you and cancel the invalid booking.

Reporting Damage: If you notice any damage to the Carvelo before departure, it's your responsibility to report it immediately to the host or the carvelo hotline. We will assess the situation and provide you with an alternative bike if necessary, ensuring your safety and a smooth journey.
